Developing next generation church leaders and disciple-makers through the worship and technical arts

The History

Following the fall of the Soviet era in 1989, there was a wave of new religious freedom that began sweeping across the Czech Republic. Songs that the global church had been singing were being introduced and translated, and original worship songs were beginning to capture the heart of the Czech Church.

This movement plateaued however shortly following the coming millennium, and the church has felt stuck and stagnant since that time. Fast forward to today, we're still singing the same 20 songs that the church has been singing for the past 20 years, and the longing to see the heart of the Czech church re-ignited is tangibly felt across the Christian community.

Hands raised making decisions for Christ

Why Czech Republic?

What first drew me to the Czech Republic in 2015 was the fact that they held the title of being "the most atheistic county in Central & Eastern Europe", with less than 1% of the population being believers. Nine years, and hundreds of outreach concerts later, we've been able to witness over 2,000 students giving their lives to Jesus, a number of whom we have had the privilege to see step into youth group/worship leading roles. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Worship Kolektiv

Worship.Ko was born out of a desire to meet the expressed needs of church leaders across the country. Most of our time is spent guiding worship leaders and team volunteers through honest deep dives, re-discovering the heart and "Why" behind our worship, and then moving on to practical leadership/skillset development.

Since launching our first workshop in 2021, we have had the privilege of coming alongside 130 worship leaders and 60 technical volunteers, coming from over 20 different churches. Often, we are bringing ourselves to where these teams are, while also gladly opening up our home to host various gatherings, workshops, and recordings as well. As thankful as we are to be able to host these gatherings, it does present its' own limitations and challenges.

VISION

Earlier this year, God gave us this picture: Even though the landscape of the Czech church resembles that of a dead, dry field, it is primed and ready for the smallest spark to ignite a wildfire of a movement that would sweep throughout the Czech Republic, and ripple out beyond our borders. God is calling us to be that spark, and we believe He is going to use worship to help ignite and fuel this movement!

Studio

As of this year, we are pressing more into allocating time and space for original congregational worship to be birthed out of the local church - for the local church. This clip here serves as a sample of what we have been up to and echoes a nationwide hunger for more of this.

This studio facility will not only serve as a freely accessible place to create and capture worship resources for the church, but will also double as a unique space to train both worship leaders and volunteer technical artists (sound, lights, video, projection), and will give unprecedented access to industry-leading technologies, such as immersive/spatial audio mixing & playback tools.

Together, we have the opportunity to play a part in being led by God into shaping the worship expression of an entire people group centrally located in the heart of Europe!

Future Impact

This studio will not only help us unlock and ignite a movement of congregational worship, but it will also propel us toward our goal of becoming a weekend worship school. By helping bring this vision to fruition, you will help empower us to expand our impact and pour into 100+ leaders and volunteers annually, while also increasing the long-term health and sustainability of our team!
